Worker Health

          Your workers’ health is important, and, in some cases, work can have a negative impact on this. It could be mental, or the worker could be           working in hazardous conditions which could adversely affect the health of a worker in the short term (acute) or long term (chronic).

           We've even teamed up with a few companies that work with us to support our contractors.

Health Monitoring

Monitoring can be used to effectively manage health risks to your workers that arise from your work.

The monitoring looks at the worker's health and determines if they are being harmed by exposure.

Examples of monitoring include;

  • Hearing assessments to check for hearing loss from being exposed to noise from loud equipment.
  • Checking nerves and muscles for circulation damage from exposure to vibrations.
  • Spirometry testing to check if lungs have become damaged from harmful chemicals and dusts.

We know it's expensive, so to help you out we've teamed up with Lifecare Consultants to give you access to a subsidised scheme!

Mental Health

Suicide is everyone's business

In 2008 Mates in Construction was established to reduce the high level of suicides amongst Australian construction workers. A few years later a New Zealand chapter was formed, Fletcher Living has a good relationship with Mates, and they regularly attend our sites for Toolbox Talks and Trainings.

This way we can keep the conversation about mental health front of mind help our people get the support they need and provide an environment that encourages positive wellbeing.
